Netflix's upcoming "Punisher" series has reportedly cast English actor Ben Barnes ("The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," "Westworld") in a sizeable role. The series spins out of Netflix's hit "Daredevil" series, which saw the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of the classic Marvel Comics anti-hero, played by "The Walking Dead's" Jon Bernthal.

According to TVLine, rumors suggest Barnes could play the criminal mastermind Bobby Saint, who was last seen in 2004's live-action "Punisher" film, played by James Carpinello.

Earlier reports indicated that the series was looking to cast David “Microchip” Lieberman, or “Micro,” as he’s commonly known in the Marvel Comics. The character is Frank Castle’s go-to weapons and tech guru, who went on to become one of the the Punisher's greatest adversaries.

Netflix's "Punisher" spinoff hasn't been given a release date, but you can catch the next Marvel show on the streaming service, "Luke Cage," when it drops on September 30.
