Some love the Marvel Netflix shows for the dark plots about troubled heroes. Others are obsessed with the supporting casts, made up of diverse and talented actors. For those in the latter category, today brings good news as Netflix's "Defenders" has added three fan-favorite supporting characters to its growing cast.

After recently confirming that Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) would be joining the street-level team up, Netflix has now confirmed Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) will be part of the series.

When we last left our heroes, many of them were scattered at the end of their respective shows. This casting announcement reaffirms that this will not only be a meeting of the street-level heroes of the MCU, but a chance to bring together the vast ensembles of all of the Netflix superhero shows. And who doesn't want to see what happens when Malcolm meets Misty, or how Karen deals with Foggy's new boss Jeri?

In the comics, Hogarth (who is a man named Jeryn) was instrumental in bringing together the Heroes For Hire, a group that has included Luke Cage and Iron Fist as well as Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. The Defenders are definitely taking their cues from those comics, so maybe Carrie-Anne Moss has a pivotal role to play.

"The Defenders" first publicly assembled at NYCC, where it was also announced that Sigourney Weaver would be playing the main villain. Her role still remains a mystery, but clearly she's a bad big enough to bring together a whole team of superheroes- and all their friends!

Executive produced by Douglas Petrie, Marco Ramirez, Drew Goddard and Jeph Loeb, “Marvel’s Defenders” arrives on Netflix in 2017 and unites Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.
