Sweet Christmas! Could fans clamoring to see Marvel's "Luke Cage" have caused a Netflix service outage? That's the speculation following a mysterious disruption one day after the series' release."Luke Cage" became available for streaming Friday, and on Saturday afternoon -- when many night choose to binge-watch their favorite shows -- viewers began to report an outage. The streaming service quickly acknowledged the problems:

With many fans noting they were attempting to watch "Luke Cage," Executive Producer Cheo Coker was quick to draw the obvious conclusion:

Meanwhile, the official "Luke Cage" Twitter account used the outage for a bit of promotion, pointing fans to the show's soundtrack, and reassuring them that Netflix was hard at work resolving the problem.

Thankfully, the outage didn't last long, with Netflix repairing the problem within about two hours.

It's important to note there are no available viewing statistics; the outage could have been the result of one of the new movies Netflix added to its library. Widespread fan opinion, however, is that "Luke Cage" temporarily brought the streaming giant to its knees.

It's certainly possible, as reviews of the series have been favorable, and it's already building plenty of buzz.

You can judge for yourself by catching all 13-episodes on Netflix. Starring Mike Colter, the series follows Cage's exploits after the events of "Jessica Jones." Relocating to Harlem, he's attempting to rebuild his life and face down his past. Along the way, Cage must defend the neighborhood from the criminal and political elements trying to control it.
