James Spader's infiltration of the comics world looks to continue this summer -- after starring as the title villain in Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Titan Comics will debut a comic book based on "The Blacklist" -- the NBC drama starring Spader -- in July.

The Hollywood Reporter has first details on the series, initially announced by Titan this past February at retailer event ComicsPRO. The comic will be written by Nicole Phillips and drawn by Beni Lobel, who has past experience drawing comics based on TV shows, including "True Blood," "Smallville" and "The Vampire Diaries."

Series editor David Leach is quoted by THR as calling the series "a journey deep into the dark world of international espionage, conspiracies, and intrigue on a global scale." Titan has a track record of TV show-based material, publishing multiple "Doctor Who" comics.

"The Blacklist" #1 is scheduled for release on July 22.
