NBC has given a put pilot commitment to a new untitled series by "Ugly Betty" creator Silvio Horta and "Life In Pieces" producer Aaron Kaplan, with "Harry Potter's" Rupert Grint set to star.

According to Deadline, the drama written by Horta based on an idea by Kaplan would feature Grint as the son of the creator of the comic book series "Imperial City." Grint's character believes he owns all nine issues of the comic but soon discovers the existence of not only a tenth issue but also that Imperial City is real and that he must save it.

A comic book fan himself, Grint will produce the series along with Horta’s Silent H Productions and Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. Horta and Kaplan will executive produce.
