A new promotional photo for the live-action "Naruto" play was released featuring the performance's 16 main cast members. "Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe/Song of the Akatsuki," as it's titled, is the second stage play adapted from Masashi Kishimoto's infamous manga.

The play will begin showing in the AiiA 2.5 Theater in Tokyo from May 19 to June 4. From June 16 to June 22, it will move to the Mielparque Hall in Osaka, and then will return to the Tokyo venue from July 29 to August 6. Pre-sale tickets open March 19; the English ticketing website for international audiences open the same day at 10 a.m. (JST).

Additionally, the multi-lingual subtitle glasses service is available in all the Tokyo showings. The service provides a rental of an eyeglass device with a system that allows users to choose their preferred language (English or Chinese), text size and display position via an attached controller.

"Song of the Akatsuki" will follow the story of "Naruto Shippuden," continuing after the events of the first play. The play will feature returning cast members Kodai Matsuoka as Naruto Uzumaki, Ryuji Sato as Sasuke Uchiha, Yui Ito as Sakura Haruno, Yuki Kimisawa as Kakashi Hatake and Hiro Yumi as Orochimaru.

Newcomers joining the cast include Rei Fujita as Yamato, Ryo Kitamura as Sai, Seshiru Daigo as Tsunade, Keishi Hagio as Suigetsu Hozuki, Kanon Nanaki as Karin, Tomoya Yamaguchi as Jugo, Takeshi Hayashino as Kisame Hoshigaki, Ryo Tsuji as Deidara and Hironori Katayama as Tobi.
