The first trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie has arrived with its star-studded cast in tow.

The trailer follows Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong), who -- along with Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity -- must find a way to stop Tempest Shadow (Emily Blunt) from taking over their home of Equestria by journeying beyond what their used to. Much like Friendship is Magic, the film focuses on the friendship between these characters and the need to "friend up!" to defeat evil.

The film's star-studded cast includes Guardians of the Galaxy's Zoe Saldana, Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba, Ant-Man standout Michael Peña and Edge of Tomorrow's Emily Blunt. The TV series regulars also star; Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tara Strong, Tabitha St. Germain and Cathy Weseluck will reprise their roles as the Mane 6 ponies from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

My Little Pony: The Movie will mark the first animated film from from Hasbro’s in-house Allspark Pictures. Hasbro Studios president Stephen Davis has previously called the decision for Hasbro to release films under the Allspark Pictures banner, while also still teaming up with their studio partners for big budget features.

The film was scripted by Rita Hsiao and Friendship Is Magic writer and producer Meghan McCarthy. Jayson Thiessen, who served as supervising director on more than 100 Friendship Is Magic episodes, served as the director. My Little Pony: The Movie opens November 3, 2017.
