Quirks are the source of power in My Hero Academia—the entire superhero-esque concept revolves around genetic factors that allow humans to perform extraordinary feats. In such a world, it doesn't seem like there would be a need for technological weaponry or engineering equipment, but the opposite couldn't be more true.

Dozens of support products are developed to enhance Quirk-based abilities, compensate for weaknesses, or simply provide alternative options to use during battle. It's not surprising that most weapons in My Hero Academia fall in the technically weak category, but there are a couple that are far more effective than even the strongest Quirks in the series.

10 Kaminari's Sharpshooting Gear Helps Him Direct His Electrical Output

MHA Denki Kaminari

Denki Kaminari might be a side character, but his Electrification Quirk has the potential to make him a first-class Pro Hero. Unfortunately, he is unable to manipulate the power that pours out of his body with enough precision, forcing him to limit his total energy yield.

Although his most powerful Super Move can emit 2 million volts of electricity, using this technique puts Kaminari completely out of commission. He uses an outfit upgrade, Sharpshooting Gear, to direct his power in the direction of his choice—helping prevent friendly fire errors as well as increasing his chances of victory.

9 Koku Hanabata's Sevens Loud Magnifies The Effects Of His Quirk

Koku Hanabata in MHA

Koku Hanabata's political success is thanks to his Incite Quirk, which infuses his devoted followers with increased strength and courage. He treats his Quirk as a tool to bolster his already vast reserves of charisma, effortlessly creating an army of overpowered fanatics to do his bidding.

Re-Destro's Detnerat devises a special gear for Hanabata, a mask known as Seven's Loud that magnifies the effects of Incite to far higher levels than normal. It's not known if similar masks can be developed for other Quirks in the My Hero Academia universe.

8 Kyoka Jiro's Amplifier Jack Increases The Destructive Potential Of Earphone Jack

My Hero Academia — Kyoka Jiro

Kyoka Jiro's Earphone Jack is an extension of her love for everything sonic and music in particular. The Quirk helps her perceive auditory elements that cannot be picked up by ordinary ears or highly sensitive microphones.

Power Loader creates Amplifier Jack, a pair of wrist-holstered speakers that intensifies Kyoka's sensory abilities, not to mention providing enough vibrational energy to shatter rock. With that said, Kyoka probably needs a secondary upgrade on Amplifier Jack if she wants to go on the offensive during combat.

7 Gang Orca's Cement Gun Is Simple But Extremely Effective

MHA — Cement Gun

Gang Orca and his many Sidekicks assist the Hero Public Safety Commission in the second stage of the Provisional Hero License Exam. The Pro Hero employs his devastating Orcinus Quirk and his minions are armed to the teeth with Cement Guns.

These weapons produce indefinite amounts of quick-dry cement through multiple outlet. While the ammo isn't exactly threatening in nature, it is exceptionally successful in incapacitating the young student heroes at Takoba National Stadium.

6 Eraser Head's Capturing Weapon Helps Offset His Quirk's Lack Of Attack Potential

Eraser Head Erasing Another Quirk

Eraser Head is painfully aware that his Quirk, while magnificent, has no attack value, whatsoever. Erasure can nullify pretty much every non-heteromorphic Quirk in existence with a single look, an outcome that remains stable as long as the wielder doesn't blink. Eraser Head, therefore, uses his famed Capturing Weapon to even out the playing field.

This weapon, a long strip of fabric composed of a mysterious alloy and carbon fiber, is controlled with incredible precision. Eraser Head singlehandedly builds the foundation for his Binding Cloth martial style.

5 Re-Destro's Claustro Charges His Stress Quirk All The Way Up To 150%

Re-Destro 150% stress

Re-Destro's Stress requires a certain threshold of emotional energy—especially negative feelings like rage, anxiety, and irritation—before he can actually use his Quirk. This limitation is disadvantageous in cheerful scenarios but has the opposite result when Re-Destro is pushed to his emotional limits.

Under natural conditions, 100% Stress output is more than capable of destroying his opponents. Re-Destro leaves nothing to chance, though, and uses Detnerat's Claustro mechanism to charge his stress levels all the way up to 150%.

4 Nighteye's Hyper-Density Seals Offset The Pro Hero's Lack Of Combat Prowess

MHA — Nighteye Seal

Sir Nighteye's Quirk is simply overpowered. Foresight allows him to observe several years of someone else's future with an exceptional degree of accuracy. He proudly claims that his predictive ability has never been wrong, the only exception being his vision for Deku.

Despite being severely limited in terms of combat prowess, Nighteye trains himself to handle opponents on a physical level. His weapons of choice are the Hyper-Density Seals, minuscule dumbbell-like objects that somehow weigh over eleven pounds, each. These seals are best suited to long-range attacks and pack quite a punch upon landing on their targets.

3 David Shield's Quirk Amplifier Is Too Dangerous To Fall Into Enemy Hands

Wolfram with the quirk enhancing device

David Shield is nothing less than a genius, using his Squirmy Fingers Quirk to develop superior quality inventions. His creations include All Might's Young Age outfit and the Quirk Amplification Device, the latter being twisted out of Shield's control by the main villain, Wolfram, in My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.

The Quirk Amplification Device is originally constructed to help All Might enhance the burning embers of his fading Quirk. The I-Island authorities are justifiably too scared to permit anyone access to the machine.

2 Star And Stripe's Tiamat Is Literally The Nuclear Option

Star And Stripe explosive attack on Shigaraki in My Hero Academia

Star and Stripe's Quirk is arguably the most dangerous ability in My Hero Academia. It's not just that New Order can alter the fabric of reality, but also that Star gets to set two separate rules with it. Even with such extraordinary power radiating from her fingertips, the American #1 hero fails to defeat Tomura/AFO during their mid-air ocean-view battle.

Star is forced to resort to the nuclear option when her opponent proves too slippery for her Quirk. She calls for her government to send Tiamat, proceeding to redirect the missiles using her State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise Punch Super Move.

1 The Quirk-Destroying Drug Permanently Disrupts The Genetic Mechanism Underlying All Quirks

Quirk Bullet

Eri's Rewind Quirk has the potential to reconfigure society on a global scale, which is why Overhaul abuses her bodily integrity in order to develop the Quirk-Destroying Drug.

This chemical substance is capable of disrupting a meta-ability's genetic framework, a process that is seemingly permanent and extremely effective. After being struck by a Quirk-Destroying Bullet, Mirio's Permeation disappears, rendering him Quirkless (although he couldn't be happier about the outcome).
