10 Pro Hero Internships

The battle serves as an important lesson to prepare Izuku Midoriya and the other students for their future internships working alongside pro heroes as sidekicks. In the upcoming season, fans can expect most of Class 1-A to push themselves like never before. Several characters will undergo major development, which will prove crucial in later seasons as they face off against new threats.

9 Rise of the villains

League of Villains My Hero Academia

Two of the major events from season three was the fall of All For One, followed by All Might's retirement. Consequently, without the Symbol of Peace, a sense of unease reverberates throughout society as the series enters its “Rise of the Villains” saga. After his master’s defeat, Tomura Shigaraki officially becomes the new leader of the League of Villains.

From within the shadows, the League has already begun to move and is slowly growing in strength. Season four picks up where the season three finale left off as they prepare to make an alliance with the series newest villain, Overhaul.

8 Overhaul

Kai Chisaki, also known as the villain Overhaul, is one of the most highly anticipated characters of season four. As the leader of the Shie Hassaikai Yakuza group, he is one of the most powerful and influential villains in the series. His quirk is especially powerful as it allows him to disassemble and reassemble anything – or anyone – that he touches.

As season four’s central antagonist, he desires to restore his organization's former power and influence by any means necessary. With a drive and ambition rivaling the likes of the Mad Titan Thanos, Overhaul is set to become a villain whose ruthlessness, surpasses even that of Shigaraki.

7 Eri

As the point of interest for the upcoming arc, Eri is one of the anime’s most highly anticipated characters. Despite her young age, Eri's possesses a very powerful quirk called Rewind. It allows her to reverse a living being’s body back to a previous state. Because of this, Overhaul sees her as vital resource, and constantly makes her suffer as his guinea pig.

She plays a crucial role in helping Midoriya to grow as a hero. Their first meeting is certainly one of the most emotional moments in the series. With season four less than three months away, fans cannot wait to witness their encounter in the anime.

6 The Quirk Destroying Drug

Due to the creation of a superhero society, criminal organizations like the Yakuza were pushed to the brink of extinction. With All Might retired, Overhaul makes his move to restore his organization to its former glory. His ultimate goal is to "cure" society of the illness plaguing it, which he believes is caused by the existence of quirks.

To fulfill his ambition, he usurps control of the Shie Hassaikai group and proceeds to experiment on Eri. By drawing on her genetic material, he creates a powerful drug that can destroy quirks. Furthermore, by allying with the League of Villains, the existence of this drug foreshadows a much more sinister plot.

5 Heroes vs Yakuza

One of the reasons why My Hero Academia is so popular is because it features some of the best fight scenes in all of anime. Mirio has already made quite the impact during his fight with Class 1-A. Thus, the bar is set pretty high for Nejire and Tamaki. However, judging by the events of the manga, there is no doubt that they will both exceed expectations once season four comes around. Nejire's Wave Motion and Tamaki's Manifest are very powerful Quirks and fans can hardly wait to see them in action.

My Hero Academia - Sir Nighteye

In addition to being All Might’s former sidekick, Sir Nighteye is also Mirio’s mentor. With his power of foresight, expert marksmanship, as well as his genius-level intellect, he is one of the top heroes in the series. It is because of this, that Midoriya decides to go to him for his internship. Unfortunately, Nighteye expresses doubts towards him.

Thus, he decides to test Midoriya to determine if he is worthy of taking him under his wing. While it is more of a test than actual combat, Midoriya confronting Nighteye is an intense moment that fans will no doubt be overjoyed to witness once it is animated.

Midoriya has made great progress in trying to master his quirk One for All. Unfortunately, one of the biggest obstacles is that he still can't access his full power without destroying his body. In the final battle of the Shie Hassakai arc, Midoriya faces off against Overhaul to save Eri.

With the power of Eri's quirk Rewind, Midroiya fights Overhaul at full strength.
