MTV has given a 10-episode order to Eye Candy, a cyber thriller based on the 2007 novel by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine, The Live Feed reports.

The drama is executive produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) and Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight). However, The Hollywood Reporter notes the initial pilot, directed by Hardwicke, won't be used.

Stine's 2007 novel finds a young woman named Lindy turning to Internet dating to find some companionship. Things are going well as she dates four different men until she gets a note saying, “Don’t say no, Lindy. Keep going out with me. I’ll mess you up if you ever say no.” Unsure of which one of the quartet sent the note, she finds herself agreeing to all kinds of things as she tries to figure out who's threatening her with the help of cyber police and hackers.

Victoria Justice (Victorious) and Harvey Guillen (The Internship) will star, but all other roles will be recast.
