In the not too distant future, somewhere in streaming space, a new season of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" will arrive. That future date in April 14, and the "streaming space" is, of course, Netflix. The new MST3K episodes, the first since the show ended in August 1999, will feature a new host and a new pair of voices behind the Satellite of Love's robot crew. The show will also feature new villains (or Mads) following in the grand tradition of Dr. Forrester, TV's Frank and Pearl Forrester. Those Mads will be played by fan-favorite actors Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt. The new “MST3K” announced their partnership with Netflix at last year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, following the initial Kickstarter campaign in November 2015. The campaign was funded quickly, raising $5.7 million dollars and funding 14 full-length episodes in addition to a new holiday special.

The new “MST3K" will feature new host Jonah Ray as well as the new Mads played by Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt. The series will also feature Hampton Yount (Crow T. Robot) and Baron Vaughn (Tom Servo) as well as contributions from writers Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland, Rob Schrab, Nell Scovell, Ernie Cline, Pat Rothfuss, Paul & Storm, Dana Gould and Robert Lopez. Artist Wayne White (“Pee-wee’s Playhouse”) will also be involved, as will Pendleton Ward (“Adventure Time”), Rebecca Sugar (“Steven Universe”), Steven Sugar (“Steven Universe”) and comics veteran Guy Davis.

The new “Mystery Science Theater 3000” debuts on Netflix on April 14.
