Every day this month I'm going to feature the work of a great artist, only instead of me picking the artist to feature, they will be picked by their peers, fellow professional comic book artists who are picking out artists (from the past and present) who they think deserve special attention. Do note that most artists I asked about this gave me multiple answers and I picked out one choice out of a number of suggestions, so these are not definitive answers, like "Artist X likes Artist Y and he thinks all other Artists are terrible!" Here is an archive of the artists featured so far!

Today, we have the pick of Dennis Calero, who is a great artist who does a variety of interior work (generally for Marvel Comics) and also a lot of cover work, as well. His most recent comic work was X-Men: Noir. You can check out his website here.

Dennis' pick is Elizabeth Breitweiser.

Elizabeth is the first colorist to appear this month!

Elizabeth is a painter, also, and that certainly comes through in her lush coloring that provides impeccable support for the other artwork in the issue.

Here are some samples of her work...

A Captain America one-shot...

A What If...? Fallen Son one-shot...

Agents of Atlas, where she's the regular colorist...

Skaar, where she's also the regular colorist...

This year's Uncanny X-Men Annual...

A Sub-Mariner one-shot...

Isn't that simply gorgeous stuff?

And as you can see, she works equally well no matter who the artist is, whether they are as different as Ron Lim and Gabriel Hardman.

You can see more of her work (as well as her painting work) at her website here.

Thanks to Dennis for the pick!
