While Ben Affleck's solo "Batman" film may possibly be delayed, another solo DC film seems to be swimming along just fine. In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter about his new Netflix series "Frontier," Jason Momoa revealed what his schedule is like when it comes to Aquaman's big screen adventures.

"I'm having a solo movie, my standalone 'Aquaman' movie," said Momoa. "I'm really pumped about it. I start in four or five months, so a little bit of rest and then back into it. 'Justice League' was amazing but it's going to be fun to have the arc and talk about this guy's backstory and where he's going."

"Aquaman" opens in October 2018, so it makes sense that it would begin production this spring/summer. And since production hasn't started on "Aquaman" just yet, Momoa hasn't had a chance to work with the film's director James Wan. Still, Momoa had kind words to say about the director when THR asked about Wan. "I haven't worked with him yet," said Momoa. "Sweet man, I've met him but I haven't worked with him yet. I mean, he's a man and he's really cool."

Momoa made his big screen debut as Aquaman in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," although his role in that film amounted to a cameo. He'll next be seen later this year in "Justice League" as a full-fledged member of the titular team. He was even seen celebrating the conclusion of the film's production back in October.

The Aquaman actor also spoke about his time working on "Justice League," revealing who did the most work when it came to stunts. "I'd say me, yeah," said Momoa. "Can I say me?" He also described Zack Snyder in one word, per THR's request, calling the "Justice League" director a "genius."

You can watch Momoa's interview below, which also features more information about his new Netflix series "Frontier."
