Happy Saturday and welcome to Shelf Porn, where each week we feature one fan’s collection. Today’s shelves come from Austin Tinius, comics creator and publisher at Bogus Publishing.

If you’d like to see your collection right here on Robot 6, you can find complete details at the end of this post.

And now let's hear from Austin ...

*****

My collection started in 1994 with Calvin & Hobbes and MAD Magazine. And then from 1998 to 2008 I didn't read many comics. One day in 2009 I was leaving work and stopped by the used book store down the street and came across "The Incal 1" by Jodorowsky & Moebius. This was the book that brought me back into the comics world. I started buying as many books and litho's of Moebius' work as I could find. Needless to say the prices of his signed art has sky-rocketed since his death in 2012.

Above bookcase (left to right): signed Starwatcher litho by Moebius, signed litho by Liberatore, original art by Greg & Fake, Paul Pope screen print by Tim Doyle.

Just listing the highlights rather than every single book on my shelves--

Top shelf (left to right): various Humanoids titles, and the first 3 Incal books I found at the used book store, "Transe Forme" from the Moebius gallery exhibit in Paris 2011, 400% Boba Fett Kubrick, Zoidberg, and Lando.

2nd row: various Heavy Metal titles, Sorayama books, "Blacksad" (one of my favs), and my current Vertigo collection, more Humanoids, and a couple Absolute editions, Batman books, "Old Man Logan", my own titles "Doctor Muscles" & "Holli Hoxxx" (check 'em out! www.bogusbooks.com), Cerebus 1-2, and various TMNT editions.

3rd row: "The complete Calvin & Hobbes", various Star Wars books (usually received as gifts), my collection from the mid-90's of Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes and Far Side.

That used book I found back in 2009 has had a big impact on my life in the last 5 years. I decided I wanted to try making a comic of my own, so I started a publishing company (www.bogusbooks.com) and to date I've released 5 graphic novels (the 6th later this September). I guess all that's left to say is.. BABA BOOEY STERN RULES!
