Streaming giant Hulu is currently in the midst of producing several adult-oriented Marvel animated series, one of which is a show based on the supervillain M.O.D.O.K. to be helmed by prolific actor/writer/comedian Patton Oswalt.

While appearing as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Oswalt revealed that he will not only be executive producing the new series, but will also be voicing the titular Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. Additionally, he teased a little bit about what viewers can expect from M.O.D.O.K.'S character.

"I'm going to be voicing him," Oswalt said. "He is a supervillain, he has super-intelligence, he has a forehead beam, he has all this technology. But, he is not on the A-level of Doctor Doom, and the Red Skull. So, not only does he hate all the heroes, he hates all the other villains because he's so resentful. Getting to play that is going to be really fun."

Created by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, M.O.D.O.K. first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense #93 in 1967. The character is best known for his many battles with Captain America, but has also notably made enemies out of the likes Namor and Hulk over the years.

Per the official description of the upcoming Hulu series,

In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., M.O.D.O.K, an egomaniacal Super Villain with a really big head and a really little body, struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family. “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” comes from writers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt, with Blum, Oswalt and Jeph Loeb serving as Executive Producers.

Joining M.O.D.O.K. on Hulu's adult-oriented Marvel lineup will be Howard the Duck, Tigra & Dazzler and Hit-Monkey. Additionally, the four shows will culminate in a team-up event titled The Offenders, similar in nature to Marvel Studios' The Avengers or Netflix's The Defenders.

No release dates for any of those shows have been announced as of yet.
