Mid-Ohio-Con Unveils New Show Logo.

Official Press Release

To coincide with the show’s move to a new venue on November 25 & 26, Mid-Ohio-Con is debuting a new show logo. “It’s kind of like Extreme Makeover: Mid-Ohio-Con Edition.” quipped show promoter, Roger Price. This year, Mid-Ohio-Con will have a more expansive show space and a new look as it moves to Battelle Hall in the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

“In some ways this will be like coming back home for us.”, said Price. “When Mid-Ohio-Con first moved to Columbus about 15 years ago, we held the show downtown at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Now the Hyatt will once again be our headquarters hotel as the show expands into the adjoining Battelle Hall.” Over the past several years, Mid-Ohio-Con has been staged within larger hotels such as the Hyatt Regency, Adam’s Mark and most recently, the Hilton at Easton Town Center. “We have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful venues over the years. We have also had to work within the confines of splitting our event up into several different rooms (and sometimes floors) of these hotels, which, while always fun, has been somewhat limiting, too.”, according to Price.

With the move to Battelle Hall on November 25 & 26, Mid-Ohio-Con’s retailers, publishers, exhibitors and special celebrity guests will all be together at last. The somewhat restrictive “table-top” show floor has been replaced with full pipe and drape booths. To go along with the new venue, updated look, wide isles, and bigger displays, Mid-Ohio-Con now has a new logo which will be incorporated into all advertising and the soon to be revamped event web site. The colorful new logo was designed by Thom Zahler of Thom Zahler Art Studios (www.thomz.com ). Never one to miss a promotional plug, Price added, “The new logo is now available on a stellar assortment of souvenir items, at www.cafeshops.com/midohiocon . All the cool kids will be wearing this stuff!”

Mid-Ohio-Con will enter it’s 26th year of entertaining comic book and pop culture fans on November 25 & 26. The show will be held in it’s new venue, Battelle Hall, in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, in downtown Columbus’ exciting Arena District. Guest announcements, hotel information and other exciting show updates will be available soon at, www.midohiocon.com , or by contacting Roger Price at (419) 526-1427.
