“I have known and worked with Renée for over a decade-and-a-half and would never hesitate to work with her on any project,” commented Golden, creator of X-Men’s Rogue character. “I am sure that many of you feel the same way with the overwhelming reports I’ve heard of your smooth, efficient, and professional dealings with her on cover assignment, convention organization, art book publication, animation projects and publicity/PR with other artists.”
Know for his detailed pencil work on “The ‘Nam,” “Micronauts,” “G.I. Joe Yearbook,” and “Dr. Strange #55, ” among many more, Golden, modestly never says which is his own personal favorite. That is up to his fans!
As a cover artist, Michael has penciled everything from Batman and Captain America to Vampirella– and “Virtually every character in the industry at some point or another. I’m the one they came to when they wanted one of those covers with a thousand characters on them,” he laughs.
“I look forward to a long and prosperous association with Ms.Witterstaetter and Eva Ink. I know that by virtue of her talent and expertise,” Golden said. “You and your organization will also benefit from this association.”
Currently finishing the “Spartan” series for Image Comics, and the personal “Tunuki” project, and beginning a series of covers for Marvel, Golden is becoming as well known for his writing as he is his artwork, with creations that stay as fresh and groundbreaking as ever.
