Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan fame is no stranger to comics. Most recently, he appeared as himself in Netflix's "Luke Cage" and contributed a song to the show's soundtrack, a score that played a very important part of shaping the world of the show. Now, the longtime fan of sequential art is penning his first Marvel Comics issue. In "Ghost Rider X-Mas Special," Robbie Reyes will help his brother Gabe take on Santa-hating bullies and tussle with Krampus, the anti-Santa Claus.

The book is co-written and illustrated by Anthony Piper. Speaking to Complex, Piper revealed his reaction when he learned he would work with Method Man on the project, saying, "The fact that this was one of first projects with Marvel was already insane, but then when my Editor, Chris, hit me with the info that this would be a creative collaboration with Method Man, my hype level doubled from 10 to 20!"

It's been a great year for the combination of hip-hop and comics, culminating in Marvel's display of hip-hop variant covers at New York Comic Con. Comic characters have existed in rap lyrics since its iteration, so it makes sense that one of its pioneers would venture into story telling. Ghost Rider also makes sense for Method Man, who once publicly adopted the moniker Johnny Blaze, one of the many characters to host the Spirit of Vengeance.

"Ghost Rider X-Mas Special" is now available digitally on Marvel.com as part of their "A Year of Marvels - Infinite Comic" line. For a sneak peek at the comic, check out the cover and an inside look below.
