MEN IN BLACK 3
“Men in Black 3” opens this weekend and MTV has posted an interview with star Will Smith, who says co-star Josh Brolin’s performance as a young Tommy Lee Jones is so spot-on, Brolin might not get as much credit as he deserves.
“It’s crazy — it’s so amazing that he’s not gonna get credit for it because he just seems like young Tommy Lee Jones. But the inflections and you look at just how he’s holding his face for the entire movie — how he found that — and just how he sets his arms, and how he walks, and everything is different than Josh Brolin. It’s a fantastic performance.”

IRON MAN 3
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Favreau will return to the “Iron Man” franchise, but this time as an actor. Favreau is set to return to “Iron Man 3” as Tony Stark’s driver, Happy Hogan — a report corroborated by Favreau himself on Twitter. It’s currently unknown how large Favreau’s role will be in the upcoming third installment of “Iron Man,” but it’s good to see him back if only for continuity purposes.
In other casting news, Variety reports actor Ashley Hamilton is currently in talks to play supporting villain character Firepower. In the Marvel Universe, Firepower is the pilot of an experimental suit eventually used to battle Iron Man.

Sony Pictures has release a new German TV spot for “The Amazing Spider-Man” with a precious few seconds of new footage. It’s also, y’know, in German.
If English is more your speed, Comic Book Movie has posted a round-up of quotes from the latest issue of “Entertainment Weekly” with the cast and crew of the film including Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and director Marc Webb.
“Look, there are always cynical people, but that’s a part of the game,” Webb told Entertainment Weekly. “Spider-Man is a perennial character, and ultimately our movie is about a kid who grows up looking for his father and finds himself. That’s a Spider-Man story we haven’t see before. We’re coming at it from a different angle. It’s not a remake of Sam [Raimi’s] movie.”

STAR TREK 2
Nolan North, voice actor of many beloved video game characters including “Uncharted’s” Nathan Drake, has a part in “Star Trek 2.” According to EuroGamer, the voice actor nabbed the role because J.J. Abrams and his children are big fans of “Uncharted.”
“The reason I did that movie – it’s a very small role – but it’s because he and his son are huge fans of ‘Uncharted,'” North told EuroGamer. “I met him doing some work on Super 8 and he said ‘We’re doing Star Trek, you wanna do it?’ And I said I’d love to. He’s a huge fan of gaming and he was telling me how people just don’t understand [the medium] yet, but they’re going to catch up. They don’t understand how amazing this technology is and it doesn’t get the respect it deserves, but if it keeps making the money it makes you’re going to see more and more people converted. I mean, Gary Oldman, one of the greatest actors on the planet, did ‘Call of Duty.’ He wouldn’t have done it 10 years ago. It’s a new age dawning, and I’m just really proud to be part of it.”
North isn’t necessarily wrong, especially considering yesterday’s announcement of “Chronicle” director Josh Trank helming a film adaptation of “Shadow of the Colossus.”

I think you have to find the positive about something like this, waiting that long to do a film.”
