Charlie's Angel director McG has signed on to Fox's film based on the Magic Castle, the famed Hollywood private club for magicians and magic enthusiasts, Heat Vision reports.

Given the subject matter, it's probably fitting that nothing is known about the script by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, writers of Sony's upcoming Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Radar Pictures' Ted Field and Mike Weber are producing.

The clubhouse of the Academy of Magical Arts, the Magic Castle opened in 1963 in a turn-of-the-century mansion located near Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The combination performance venue, restaurant and club, complete with its secret doors, three theaters and five bars, is open only to members and their guests.
