Over a dozen covers from "Dark Knight III: The Master Race" have been revealed, featuring art by Rafael Albuquerque, Joshua Middleton, Darwyn Cooke and, yes, Frank Miller.

Now, Eisner Award-winner Matt Wagner has shared his cover on Facebook, drawing inspiration from (spoiler alert!) the Joker's ill-fated end in Miller and Klaus Janson's original "The Dark Knight Returns." In addition to the final piece, Wagner also shared the original thumbnail and uncolored inks for the cover.
The cover, colored by Wagner's son, Brennan, will be sold through Comic*Pop Collectibles.
"Dark Knight III: The Master Race" is co-written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello with art by Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson. The sequel to the seminal "Dark Knight Returns" and its follow-up "The Dark Knight Strikes Again," "The Dark Knight III" #1 is scheduled for release on Nov. 25.
All said, over thirty retailers are participating in the first issue variant cover program. In addition to the artwork below, DC Comics has released the full list of stores and artists involved in the initiative.
