In November, writer Ollie Masters and artist Ming Doyle launch "The Kitchen," an all-new Vertigo title based in 1970s New York City. Pitched by Masters to editor Will Dennis as "Goodfellas" meets "Mob Wives," the 8-issue miniseries, announced Tuesday on DC All Access, takes place in the mob-run Hell's Kitchen and follows the story of a trio of women, each married to a member of the mafia. When their husbands are sent to prison, the wives step up and take over the family business. Upon the realization that they enjoy the work, and they're good at it, the question arises: What happens when their husbands are released from prison?

"The Kitchen," by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle, with colors by Jordie Bellaire and covers by Becky Cloonan, debuts in November from Vertigo.
