Marvel Comics will celebrate Spider-Man’s longtime love throughout the month of June. The comic company will release numerous Mary Jane Watson-themed variant covers over the course of the month. Marvel debuted the first three variant covers in March, but today, revealed another 17.

The covers come on the heels of a series of variants centered around the characters Gwen Stacy and Venom, two initiatives that have been very lucrative for the company throughout their run.

“Both the Gwen Stacy Variant Program and this month’s Venomized Variant Program were such runaway successes, we couldn’t help but try to top ourselves,” David Gabriel, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Marvel Comics, said in a press release. “And with Chip Zdarsky and Adam Kubert’s new Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man book on the horizon, the timing couldn’t have been better to put the spotlight on fan-favorite Mary Jane Watson.”

Zdarsky and Kubert’s Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man looks to return Spider-Man to his roots as a downtrodden, somewhat misunderstood hero. The series looks to return the Wall-Crawler to his New York City stomping ground as an underestimated street-level hero.

Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., Mary Jane Watson first appeared in 1966 in Amazing Spider-Man #42. Debuted as a love interest to Peter Parker, Mary Jane has gone through numerous iterations throughout the years, including a brief bout with spider powers of her own. He has also piloted not just Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit, but also Peter’s Iron Spider suit.
