Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite just packed another punch with a new video that shows more than 25 minutes of gameplay. As seen in the video below, the new game takes a page out of the Injustice playbook, with a lore-rich story mode.

The story seems to take cues from Jonathan Hickman's run on The Avengers, where universes converged and were annihilated. Ultron Sigma, the main villain, is a combination of an Avengers foe and a classic Capcom baddie whose goal is to destroy all organic life. Likewise, the stages are mashups of Marvel and Capcom locations, like X-Gard, a Mega Man-infused version of Asgard.

The roster draws heavily from the Avengers for its characters, with a couple of Guardians of the Galaxy thrown in. So far, the Capcom characters are mostly returning favorites with the addition of Mega Man and Zero, who were missing from the last game.

The footage shows a lot of characters in action, including Thanos, Ultron, Captain Marvel, Chun-Li, Morrigan and Spencer. The video also includes a good look at the new two-character tag team system and the Infinity Stone system, which are essential to gameplay.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will arrive Sept. 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC and will include single-player Arcade, Training and Mission modes and multi-player content, as well as an immersive, cinematic Story Mode.
