May Parker has endured a lot -- a lot -- over the years: the loss of her husband Ben, an assortment of illnesses, death, a romance with Otto Octavius, Trouble. However, in September the Marvel Universe's favorite aunt will suffer her greatest indignity yet ... Venomization. And not even her world-famous wheat cakes are safe.

VENOMIZED AUNT MAY VARIANT COVER BY JULIAN TOTINO

A classic villain has reinvented himself, and it does not bode well for Spider-Man! And what is J. JONAH JAMESON up to NOW?!

32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99

The illustration shows Aunt May, clad in a red-checkered gingham apron, partly transformed by the fan-favorite symbiote, whose black ooze has even left her mark on her signature wheat cakes. Clearly nothing is sacred to Venom.

Totino's variant arrives the same month as Marvel's much-touted Venomverse event, which transports Eddie Brock to a distant planet, where he discovers the horrifying Poisons, a deadly species on the hunt for Venoms. In the five-issue miniseries, by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Iban Coello, Brock and a band of Venomized Marvel heroes -- Rocket Raccoon, Gwenpool, Old Man Logan and Black Panther, for starters -- must fight for survival, and a means of escape.
