"Secret Wars: Armor Wars" #1/2 will serve as a 12-page prequel to the events in the main "Armor Wars" series, which will launch with the "Secret Wars" event this summer. Robinson will be joined by Mark Bagley on this special issue, though Marcio Takara will pencil the main title.
Taking its title from the same event in "Iron Man" #225-#231 by David Michelinie, Bob Layton, Mark D. Bright and Barry Windsor-Smith, "Armor Wars" pits brothers Tony and Arno Stark against each other after another armored hero has been murdered in Technopolis, a utopia where a disease forces everyone to wear armor in order to live. The prequel will explore the origin of this disease, which spurs characters like Tony, Arno and James Rhodes into action.
