Marvel Comics' Deadpool has starred in multiple miniseries that have taken the Merc with a Mouth into space, facing off against zombies, and obliterating every hero and villain in the publisher's handbook. It's the last scenario that Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso teased on Twitter with artwork of Deadpool killing the Marvel Universe -- again.RELATED: Cullen Bunn Kills the Marvel Universe (With Deadpool)

Alonso's message of "Respawn #Deadpool" has us wondering, has the alternate universe that 2012's "Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe" took place in been regenerated so Wade Wilson can have another crack at battling Captain America, Wolverine, the Punisher, Spider-Man and the rest until he's truly victorious? Or is this an all-new Earth upon which Wade Wilson will be unleashed? We don't yet know, and while the Dave Johnson-illustrated image is nice to look at, it's not giving away any storyline secrets.

“Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe,” from the creative team of Cullen Bunn and Dalibor Talajic, is a self-explanatory storyline in which Deadpool does exactly what the title claims: systematically kill every Avenger, mutant and cosmic deity that gets in his way. The climax of “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe” sees Deadpool escaping the confines of the page and killing the story at its source -- namely, its creators. Follow-up miniseries include "Deadpool Killustrated" and "Deadpool Kills Deadpool."
