Artist Mike del Mundo's cover for X-Men Gold #11 is an homage to Queen's 1977 album News of the World, which contained such hits as "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."

The illustration depicts one of the new sentient Sentinels holding a bloodied Old Man Logan and Kitty Pryde as Colossus falls from its clutches. The cover follows four other rock-themed variants released earlier this week: Mike Hawthorne and Nathan Fairbairn's spin on Nirvana's Nevermind for Guardians of the Galaxy #9; Damion Scott's tribute to Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction for Inhumans: Once and Future Kings #2; Marco Rudy's remix of the The Clash's London Calling for Mighty Thor #23; and Daniel Acuna's vision of Blondie's Parallel Lines for X-Men Blue #11.
