Marvel Television and Netflix's "The Defenders" has unveiled a new look on Twitter, complete with a new banner alongside this morning's new trailer.

The show's Twitter banner is a gritty photo of Daredevil Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist -- well, it's a photo of their feet. It looks like they're sitting on the grimy concrete floor of some sort of warehouse or basement, with "Defend" scrawled out in chalk. The photo further sets the tone for the show, making it hard for fans to wait until the Aug. 18 release date.

The photo falls in line with the art style used for the promotional art that has come before it; what this series wants to get across to viewers is that New York, in all its neon-lit, graffiti-exposed glory, will be just as much of a central character in this series as any of the human characters. The promo art is also emphasizing just how delightfully ragtag this group of heroes will be on their adventures. Somehow they'll come together to create New York's first line of defense against threats (hence the name, "The Defenders").

The show's recently released trailer also illustrates what type of action and humor we can expect from this next chapter in the Marvel series. Even better than seeing more of the team is seeing the villainous Alexandra in action for the first time, as well as quick cameos by Misty Knight and Elektra.
