Marvel has released an extensive gallery of art by fan-favorite illustrator Mark Bagley from "Marvel Primer Pages," a new feature that will be introduced in select titles as part of the publisher's Marvel Legacy initiative.

Written by Robbie Thompson (Silk, Doctor Strange and the Sorcerer Supreme), with a majority of the art from Bagley (The Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man), the three-page feature is designed as an easy entry point to each of the series for new readers.

“When I first approached Robbie and Mark to do these Primer stories, I gave them only one edict: to remind all readers both who these characters are and what they’re about in three all new pages,” editor Darren Shan said in a statement. “What we got back has been some of the most fun art I’ve ever seen from Mark! And we couldn’t be luckier to have someone like Robbie to cherry pick the most classic moments in Marvel history. Then the two of them tie this all up into one perfect package. I think everyone will love these!”

The pages, which can be seen in the gallery above, are from All-New Wolverine, The Amazing Spider-Man, Falcon, Iron Fist, Jean Grey, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Spider-Gwen, Venom, X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold.

Launching in September with Marvel Legacy #1, a one-shot by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic, the initiative is intended to connect beloved characters and elements from the publisher's past to the present generation. Marvel will roll out 53 Legacy-branded titles, with some of the long-running series returning to their original numbering.
