Some couples have more success than others when working together as crime-fighting heroes. While some Marvel heroes in relationships may win a popularity vote, they would lose in a physical fight with other couples that have better fighting skills. The relationships don’t always work out, but their superhero partnerships fared well due to their advanced combat skills.

10 Scarlet Witch And Doctor Voodoo

While they might not be the most skilled fighters in the Marvel universe, Scarlet Witch and Doctor Voodoo are still quite the power couple. Wanda Maximoff and Dr. Jericho Drumm first started fighting together as members of the Avengers Unity Squad. They continued working together at the Strange Academy, where they taught the mystic arts.

Scarlet Witch was in a few relationships over the years, though none complemented her magical ability like Doctor Voodoo. Both Avengers could end most battles quickly with their powerful spells. However, they have both shown that they can handle their own in a fight even without their powers.

9 Hulkling And Wiccan

Another romantic couple known more for their power over their fighting skills is the founding members of the Young Avengers, Hulkling and Wiccan. Teddy Altman discovered he was a Kree/Skrull descendent of Captain Mar-Vell and Princess Anelle after he joined the Young Avengers as the powerful shape-shifting Hulkling.

Billy Kaplan had a similar revelation after his debut first as the Asgardian. He discovered he was the reincarnated child of Scarlet Witch, and he inherited her magical reality-altering abilities as Wiccan. Hulking and Wiccan pack both a physical and a mystical punch. They also have a galactic army at their disposal after Hulkling became the Emperor of the Kree/Skrull Alliance.

Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson spent more time in a relationship and became one of Marvel's best couples. And while they worked well together in tense situations, they never truly fought together as a crime-fighting couple.

However, Spider-Man and Black Cat have recently rekindled their romance, reminding fans of how well they worked together in the past. The romantic couple always focused more on their costumed lives, which benefited them in battle. Spider-Man’s abilities made him a skilled and acrobatic fighter while Black Cat’s years of training as a cat burglar made her hard to take out.

6 Rogue And Gambit

Mr. and Mrs. X are better known as the married X-Men members and leaders, Gambit and Rogue. Remy LeBeau and Anna Marie's romantic relationship developed over the years as they fought together as teammates. Rogue's mutant power to drain the life force and abilities of anyone she made skin-to-skin contact with hindered but didn't stop their relationship.

Gambit's own mutant ability to charge up inanimate objects with explosive kinetic energy made him a deadly threat. However, it was his years of training as a thief and Rogue's years of training with her mother Mystique that really prepared them. The close connection between Rogue and Gambit makes them even better fighters who always watch each other's backs.

5 Black Panther And Storm

One of Marvel’s best couples may not technically be together anymore, though fans are still hoping to see Black Panther and Storm reunite in the future. T’Challa won a trial by combat to earn the title of Black Panther and the throne of Wakanda. Storm won her own trials against mutants like Callisto and Cyclops for leadership of the Morlocks and the X-Men. They also temporarily served as members of the Fantastic Four to further showcase their skills together.

They have also trained with heroic fighters like Captain America to further hone their skills. Separately they are hard to beat, but they are nearly impossible to stop when fighting together as a couple.

They currently both operate as Daredevil, fighting against the ninja clan known as the Hand. Their incredible fighting skills make them a difficult Marvel couple to beat.
