Amidst the build-up for the upcoming Netflix and Marvel Television team-up series "The Defenders," new set photos have surfaced on Twitter. The pictures depict the reunion of Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones. Two of the photos show the Marvel superheroes talking and laughing with one another, while another photo shows Colter getting into a fight, and another pic sees a solo shot of Ritter.

Colter recently touted the relationship between Luke Cage and Iron Fist in the series, while a "street-level" crisis that will unite the heroes has been teased.

"The Defenders" will bring together Marvel/Netflix heroes Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox) and Iron Fist (played by Finn Jones). The four heroes will meet at Midland Circle, where Matt Murdock and Elektra discovered the mysterious hole in "Daredevil" Season 2. Fans have speculated that the location implies the Hand will play a role in the "crisis" that the new team will face.

The series will feature eight episodes and will premiere in Summer 2017. "The Defenders” also stars Elodie Yung, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rosario Dawson, Rachael Taylor and Scott Glenn.
