It doesn't arrive until August, but Marvel Comics' "Generations" is already getting fans talking, as they wonder what the series means for their favorite heroes, and how the ten-issue storyline will be released.

Today, Marvel clarified the latter part of that question, explaining exactly how the story will be packaged. Rather than an event that crosses over from one series to another, "Generations" is a ten-issue maxi-series, with each chapter tackled by a different creative team.

“Marvel’s greatest icons return to the page this August, paired with the next generation of the Marvel Universe,” Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in a statement. “However, do all our heroes emerge from GENERATIONS as they entered, or become something greater? If you want to know where Marvel is headed in the future, you don’t want to miss GENERATIONS.”
