Recorder 451 from Marvel Comics

The Recorder was how Tony Stark learned his own true origins. A Rigellian Recorder, 451 was meant to periodically eliminate data he'd collected. When a bug caused him to keep his data though, he decided that he'd take an active role in protecting the Earth.

Though he started with good intentions though, 451 didn't care to give anyone else any options in their actions. Instead, he was all about forcing people to do his bidding. He genetically altered the Stark family's child to make him the perfect pilot of his most powerful armor known as the Godkiller, and intended to force Tony to use it to do his bidding, battling against aliens. Though his plan failed, it still nearly resulted in destroying Tony Stark.

Created on a Stark Enterprises space station, it asserted itself by killing and absorbing everyone on board. Still believing itself incomplete, it attempted to absorb a recently appearing Iron Man as well.

However, fortunately Stark was able to construct an impressive enough weapon to fight the Technovore off and escape the space station. Though the Technovore believed by absorbing Iron Man he would become complete, Stark realized the mistake in its programming meant it would never feel complete, and it would simply keep absorbing things until it took in the entire universe.

The Vision, Jocasta, and more have all eventually stopped serving him.

However, that doesn't make him less dangerous. Ultron has nearly dominated the Avengers several times in the past. In certain timelines he's even succeeded, creating a harsh Earth where there are only a few humans left alive. He's even traveled out into space, wiping out entire planets thanks to him merging with the Phalanx. Ultron isn't just an issue for humans, but sentient life everywhere.
