When Poe Dameron lands in comic shops this April, he'll be bringing a party with him. Marvel has announced that participating comic retailers can take part in "Poe Dameron #1 Celebration" on April 6th. The launch parties will coincide with the release of "Star Wars: Poe Dameron" #1, the new ongoing series starring Oscar Isaac's "Force Awakens" character from writer Charles Soule and artist Phil Noto.
Retailers that opt-in will get a party kit of promotional items -- including variant covers, buttons, cake toppers and more -- from Marvel. All stores wishing to participate will have to opt-in by March 7.
Participating retailers will receive invitational postcards, buttons, BB-8 lithographs featuring art by Joe Quinones, a "Star Wars: Poe Dameron" #1 Jaxxon sketch party variant by David Nakayama and a special premiere variant cover of the debut issue.
