Last year, BOOM! Studios Chief Creative Officer Mark Waid took on a massive task – at Long Beach Comic Con he was challenged to answer 50 questions during a 50 minute panel, and Waid actually answered 56 questions in 50 minutes! The writer is up to the challenge again in 2010, but we need your help.
This weekend on Saturday October 30th from 1:00 – 1:50 PM at Long Beach Comic Con, Waid will once again attempt to answer “50 Questions in 50 Minutes” in a panel moderated by CBR’s own Jonah Weiland. As part of the challenge, we’re asking you to share with us some of the questions you’d like to see Mark answer. We’re asking our readers to post their questions for Mark in this thread on the CBR Forums (Mark promises not to take a peek), which BOOM!’s Marketing Director Chip Mosher will comb through and choose the best 50 questions for the panel on Saturday. We need your questions no later than 3:00 PM Pacific this Friday, October 29th!
What should you ask? Anything you like! You can ask Mark about his series “Irredeemable” and “Incorruptible” for BOOM! You can ask him about his work for Marvel Comics on “Amazing Spider-Man.” You can ask him his thoughts on digital comics or his take on the latest news in comics and superhero films! You can ask him about past series or even future series that might not have been announced yet! Basically, ask him about anything that comes to your mind.
So, let’s have some fun folks – the details of his panel at Long Beach Comic Con are below, and you can post your questions in this thread. Can Mark handle 50 questions in 50 minutes? Will this be the year he can’t? Your questions will help determine whether he makes it or not!
