The news comes a little more than two months after the streaming service acquired the comic book imprint founded in 2013 by Millar, the co-creator of Wanted, Kick-Ass and Kingsman.

The first acquisition by Netflix, the Millarworld deal calls for Millar to continue to create new stories and characters under the company's label. Some of Millar's best-known properties, like Kick-Ass and Kingsman, are already wrapped up in rights agreements with film producers and studios, making them off-limits to Netflix. However, Huck, Supercrooks and other comics would seem to be fair game.

It's important to note that Netflix's purchase of Millar's company was also their way of getting the creator himself to work for them. It's entirely possible that this new series is an original work conceived the streaming service.
