"Star Wars" legend Mark Hamill will bring his love of pop-culture memorabilia to Comic-Con HQ this fall with a new series that turns the spotlight on collectors and their collectibles.

A lifelong collector himself -- he laments in the video below about having to rent storage space for his memorabilia -- the actor will host and produce "Mark Hamill's Pop Culture's Quest" on the new subscription video-on-demand platform.

“This show is a natural outgrowth of that passion," says Hamill, who collects comic boks, toys, lunchboxes , original art and more. "Now I have an opportunity to collect other people's collections! I can't wait to see what's out there and share it with the world. Collectibles are a living history of who and what we are, so we just might learn something … but there's no doubt we're going to have fun!”

Production is targeted to begin in June, when Hamil returns from the United Kingdom, where he's filming "Star Trek: Episode VIII."

Announced in March, Comic-Con HQ is a partnership between Lionsgate and Comic-Con International.
