Responding to a fan's very open-ended question on Twitter, Mark Hamill has revealed some very concrete information about "Star Wars: Episode VIII." The movie is set to wrap principal photography in less than three weeks, on July 22:

An active and eccentric tweeter, Hamill threw out a number of hashtags to go along with that tidbit, notably #W8ForVIII and #Rogue1Sooner, referring to director Gareth Edwards' "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which flies into theaters on Dec. 16.

"Episode VIII's" wrap date falls on the Friday of Comic-Con International; Hamill has already said he's not attending, and finishing up filming that week likely rules out the rest of the cast as well. A surprise appearance, however, could create another memorable panel.

Also starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Gwendolyn Christie and Mark Hamill, director Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" opens Dec. 15, 2017. #W8ForVIII
