Rock star Marilyn Manson will guest star on the upcoming third season of the supernatural drama "Salem."

He'll play Thomas Dinley, a barber and surgeon described as the go-to man in Salem, Massachusetts, for everything from a shave and a haircut to 17th-century surgery.

Manson, whose acting credits include "Lost Highway," "Once Upon a Time" and "Sons of Anarchy," is no strange to "Salem": He collaborated with the show's composer Tyler Bates on the open title sequence.

A reimagining of Colonial America, "Salem" began production of its third season today in Shreveport, Louisiana. The series will return in April on WGN America.
