MAN OF STEELEW.com spoke with "Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder about whether there was any discussion of cutting a scene involving a tornado in light of the recent twister that touched down in Oklahoma.

"He's changed by those events," Snyder told EW. "If anything, we feel like our Superman has a connection -- not to make light of it -- to the kind of grief that happens during those kinds of natural disasters. Also, in a sad way, even Superman can't change that."

MTV spoke with Michael Shannon about how he characterizes the film and the approach it took to an iconic comics character.

"It never really felt like a comic-book movie to me," Shannon told MTV. "Because of the approach, it was so serious. And I don't mean that to make it sound like it's not [fun]; I mean, at the end of the day, it's meant to be an entertaining movie and I think it is. But from the beginning where they're on Krypton, there's some real serious issues being discussed, and real dire circumstances. And just the scope of it kind of took me by surprise -- I think it's unusual."

While speaking with The L.A. Times, Zack Snyder teased the possibility of an expanded DC Universe in the "Man of Steel" continuity.

"Do the DC characters exist in the universe I created? The answer is yes," Snyder said. "In my mind, we have this fantastic character of Superman. It's not madness that there would be others. Now, that being said, does a 'Justice League' movie exist now? No. Whether or not I ever get to make that movie, I don't know."

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2Comic Book Movie has posted a rumor that Colm Feore's role in Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man 2" is Adrian Toomes, also known as The Vulture. While CBM says the rumor is "100% confirmed" (and it would certainly make sense given the rogues gallery Webb seems to be building for the sequel), definitely wait until the official announcement until spouting this one off as fact.

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx spoke with Total Film about coming on to the movie as Electro and his excitement at getting to be in the film.

"It's been fantastic. [Director] Marc Webb has been fantastic to work with," Foxx told TotalFilm. "What I've learned on the set... that suit, that Spider-Man suit... the first thing I had to shoot it was like... not tears, but this is the real thing. It was mindblowing."
