Warner Bros. has released a high-resolution photo of Amy Adams as Lois Lane in Man of Steel, director Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated franchise reboot. While we saw a closely cropped version of the image last week in Total Film, the full frame provides some context, suggesting the intrepid journalist is on the trail of Clark Kent (star Henry Cavill).
Speaking of Total Film, the magazine teases more of its current Man of Steel cover story with some select quotes from writer David S. Goyer regarding the veil of secrecy surrounding the film — he attributes that to producer Christopher Nolan, naturally — and the issue of “darkness.”
“Relatable and realistic doesn’t necessarily mean dark,” he said. “I think it would be inappropriate for us to approach a Superman film as if we were doing The Dark Knight. The Batman films are a lot more nihilistic; Superman has always been a story about hope.”
Opening June 14, Man of Steel also stars Michael Shannon as General Zod, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Antje Traue as Faora, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick and Christopher Meloni as Col. Hardy.
