MAN OF STEELMTV spoke with David S. Goyer about the upcoming "Man of Steel" and whether Christopher Nolan's characters from "The Dark Knight Trilogy" would make an appearance.

"The 'Dark Knight' films do not exist in the same universe. Zack [Snyder] has gone on record. The fact that we have Wayne Industries on the satellite, Bruce Wayne exists in this universe," Goyer said. "Lex Luthor exists in this universe. Other metahumans do exist in this universe, so the hope is, depending on how the film does, that we'll be able to roll into some other films."

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.Moviefone had the opportunity to discuss a number of things with Joss Whedon, including his upcoming "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." series.

"What attracted me to 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' were the gadgets. But after the gadgets was humanity: The idea that there is an underside, a darker side, a more human context," Whedon told Moviefone. "Phil Coulson always represented the everyman, the schlemiel in the world of the fabulous or the mighty, gods and billionaires and legends. And that's what the show is for, it's for those people who, as remarkable as they may be, are not the supers, are not A-list.

"What are the rest of us worth when there are people that are so extraordinary? That's a human story. We hired actors that I am so excited to welcome into our universe, and they're extraordinary, and they're going to bring so much to it. That's what I'm giving people every week; those actors, their stories, and the stories that they encounter. I know that we all share the same sensibility in terms of what makes it Marvel, what makes it that universe. I never worry about what the fanboys think because the fanboy is thinking it up."

Meanwhile, Red Carpet News TV spoke with Whedon at the gala screening for "Much Ado About Nothing," and slipped some questions about the upcoming television show into the interview.

"I haven't done anything without Clark Gregg in it now for a couple of years," said Whedon. "I think it would make me nervous if I did. Ultimately, it's real people in an unreal world. It's about the people who live in a superhero universe that don't have superpowers. That always intrigues me -- the people that are forgotten."
