Michael Fassbender remains committed to producing and starring in an adaptation of Assassin's Creed, the Ubisoft video game series that casts players as deadly assassins operating in different periods of history.

In fact, his commitment is so firm that he wants to bring in some familiar talent to direct the movie.

According to Deadline, Fassbender's recent collaborator Justin Kurzel is in talks with Ubisoft and New Regency to direct Assassin's Creed. If hired, it'll be a reunion for Fassbender and Kurzel, who worked together on the Weinstein Company's adaptation of Macbeth.

If Kurzel can adapt the works of William Shakespeare to Fassbender's liking, surely he's capable of delivering a solid take on Assassin's Creed, right? We'll find out when the movie arrives; it's currently scheduled for an August 2015 release.
