Director J.J. Abrams may be recruiting some Oscar-winning talent for Star Wars: Episode VII.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lupita Nyong'o met with Abrams a few weeks ago, just before the Academy Awards, about starring in the next installment of the Star Wars franchise. Nyong'o won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in 12 Years a Slave.

In true Abrams fashion, we don't know what role Nyong'o might be up for. There are reportedly two characters in their 20s as well as a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi she could play.

The unconfirmed report comes on the heels of a rumor that Breaking Bad alum Jesse Plemons and Attack the Block star John Boyega are among the frontrunners to play the lead role of a young Jedi.

Star Wars: Episode VII opens on Dec. 18, 2015.
