"X-Men: First Class" star Lucas Till will officially reprise his role as Havok in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" film, director Bryan Singer announced on his Instagram.

In "X-Men: First Class," which was acted as a soft reboot of Singer's original "X-Men" trilogy, Till's Havok was an original member of Professor X's (James McAvoy) X-Men team alongside Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Angel (Zoe Kravitz), Banshee (Caleb Landry Jones) and Darwin (Edi Gathegi). He appeared in the sequel, "X-Men: Days of Future Past," in a cameo role.

Till joins a growing list of "X-Men" alums who will return the franchise, including Hugh Jackman, Rose Byrne, Michael Fassbender and Evan Peters. The cast also boasts an impressive amount of newcomers, including Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Tye Sheridan as Havok's brother Scott.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016.
