LOOK: Michael Turner's "Batman: Rebirth" #1 Variant Covers

Aspen Comics will offer limited edition variants of the DC Comics one-shot featuring artwork by the late artist.

Through a "unique partnership" with DC Comics, Aspen Comics will offer limited edition variant covers for a number of DC's upcoming Rebirth reboots.

The first variant, "Batman" #1, featuring an illustration of the Dark Knight by by the late Aspen co-founder and fan-favorite artist Michael Turner, will be available to order June 1 via AspenStore.com. A limited number of variants will be available at Aspen's booth at Denver Comic Con on June 17-19, and Comic Con International: San Diego on July 21-24.

"Batman" #1 is the first of several DC Rebirth variants to be produced by Aspen, with further offerings to be announced in the near future. Turner, one of the most popular comics artists of the late '90s and 2000s with credits including "Witchblade," "Fathom" and "Superman/Batman," passed away in 2008 at age 37.

"Batman" #1, written by Tom King with art by David Finch, Matt "Batt" Banning and Jordie Bellaire, arrives in stores June 15.
