In addition to a new team role, Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson will get a costume inspired by her comic book counterpart Quake in the upcoming third season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (via LA Times).

"It's about strength. She feels very empowered in it," explained costume designer Ann Foley. "That's what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me," said Foley. "I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has already announced a "Secret Warriors" storyline for season three. In the "Secret Warriors" comic series by Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev, Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli, Daisy Johnson (a.k.a. Quake) leads a sleeper team of superpowered peers called a caterpillar team. After Terrigen was exposed to the general population at the end of "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" second season, leading to an anticipated boom of Enhanced people, it seems as though Skye will get her own sleeper super team in the show -- something that was teased when Coulson handed her a blue folder labeled "Caterpillar" in the season finale.

Starring Bennet, Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season three premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9 pm EST on ABC.
