LOOK: Cat Grant’s Estranged Son Arrives on “Supergirl” & Catches Kara’s Eye

In two new photos from “Strange Visitor From Another Planet,” the 11th episode of “Supergirl’s” premiere season, Adam Foster — Cat Grant’s estranged son — shows up in National City for a tense reunion with his mother (via E!Online). Melissa Benoist’s real-life husband Blake Jenner plays Foster, who instantly clicks with Kara.

According to the episode’s official description, “Kara must help Hank face his painful past when a White Martian, a member of the alien race that wiped out his people, kidnaps Senator Miranda Crane (Tawny Cypress), an anti-alien politician. Also, Cat’s estranged son, Adam (Blake Jenner), arrives in National City.”

Because of his connection to Cat Grant, Adam Foster’s arrival in National City will strain Kara’s relationship with her boss — particularly because Adam will be set up as a potential love interest for the Girl of Steel. Regardless, Kara and Adam will instantly connect. Jenner will appear as Adam in multiple episodes.

Jenner is best known for his role on “Glee,” where his character — Ryder Lynn — developed an on-off relationship with Melissa Benoist’s Marley Rose. He has also had guest appearances on shows like “Melissa & Joey.”

“Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm EST on CBS. Developed by producers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, the series stars Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
