Now that a new "Logan" trailer has been released, the tributes and fan mash-ups are starting to roll in. Just like with the first "Logan" trailer, an animated version of the red band trailer has arrived. The clip uses predominantly footage from the "X-Men: Evolution" cartoon, although a few colorful shots from the totally '90s Fox series are used in place of the comic book in the live-action trailer.

The clip uses the audio from the "Logan" trailer, including all the F-bombs, syncing it up with repurposed footage from X-23's appearances on the early '00s cartoon. That cartoon is actually where X-23 debuted; she jumped to the comics a little bit after making her debut on TV. So this is footage from Laura Kinney's debut being used with audio from her most recent -- and first ever live-action -- incarnation.

Set beyond the events of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” 2017’s “Logan” is set in the near future following a cataclysmic event that ravaged the mutant race. It will also be Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine, and will introduce Dafne Keen as the character’s teenage clone X-23.

Directed by James Mangold, written by Michael Green, Scott Frank, James Mangold and David James Kelly, and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Dafne Keen and Stephen Merchant, “Logan” arrives in theaters on March 3, 2017.
